BERGaktiv, that is the advertising and registration platform of trained hiking guides from the Great Walser Valley and neighboring Damüls. Together they offer an extensive hiking program in summer and winter.

Special features:

• The hikes take place in (almost) any weather and with one registration. However, please note: Route changes and cancellations due to bad weather and avalanche danger are reserved to the hiking guides. In case of cancellation due to bad weather or avalanche danger, there is no claim for replacement or compensation!
• Guests from BERGaktiv member companies take part in the hikes free of charge (except for cable car and bus rides as well as snacks or menus).
• You will be accompanied exclusively by certified Vorarlberg (winter) hiking guides.
• All hikes in the winter months take place even if unfortunately there is no snow.
• Dogs are not allowed in the group out of consideration for the group!

Come along: join us on our way into the untouched (cultural) landscape of the Biosphärenpark Großes Walsertal. Discover fantastic views with us. Immerse yourself in the history of the Great Walser Valley and learn more about the biosphere park.

WINTER EQUIPMENT

• Small backpack with (warm) drink
• warm winter clothing as well as hat and gloves
• mountain boots or sturdy winter shoes/boots
• ski or hiking poles
• snowshoes
• gaiters if available
• sunglasses and cream
• for night hikes a headlamp rental equipment
• your mouth-nose protection as long as the Covid-19 regulation requires it in Austria. THANKS. You will need this for using public transport / conveyance and entering inns or huts.

Snowshoes and poles: € 10,- per day/tour and person
Safety equipment with avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe: € 10,- per day/tour and person
Total package: snowshoes and poles as well as safety equipment with avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe € 18,- per day/tour and person.
The order of the rental equipment has to be announced at the registration for the hike!
The hiking guide will then bring the ordered equipment to the meeting point.
